Programme outline
Data protection is an increasingly pervasive topic which stretches from employment law, through commercial contracts and marketing.

This one-day course provides a comprehensive introduction to the topic by providing an overview of the Data Protection Act 1998 and then highlighting key areas of concern for the commercial practitioner. Throughout the day reference will be made to the changes being introduced by the General Data Protection Regulation in May 2018, and advice given on how to prepare for these changes.

The course adopts a practical and common sense approach throughout with the emphasis on commercial as well as legal considerations. Delegates will be given the opportunity to apply their knowledge through a series of practical exercises.

The course starts at 9.30am. Lunch and refreshments are provided.
6 CPD hours (where applicable)
