Programme outline

Establishing where the organisation is now is the first step of any turnaround or improvement programme.
We introduce the tools and techniques available to analyse the organisation’s current situation and its immediate imperatives. We demonstrate how you can establish the organisation’s strengths, threats and opportunities.
For immediate turnaround situations we make a high level review of the assets, resources and skills the organisation has available, assessing its capabilities and the gaps.
We consider how to establish a strategic vision and set strategic goals. These can only be achieved if the whole organisation is aligned and so we examine this in detail and use a variety of techniques to review organisational alignment in terms of:

  • sales: products/services, marketplace
  • process: efficiency and technology benefits
  • financial stability and sustainability: investment and financial control
  • people: skills, leadership, motivation and culture.

Having understood where we are and where we want to be, we look at approaches to developing a route map, identifying project essentials, setting timescales and developing KPIs to manage the process and maintain consistent performance.
Real business examples are used throughout the course.
You will develop skills in using some of the techniques and tools that are available, applying them to your organisation.

The course starts at 9.00am. Lunch and refreshments are included.
6 CPD hours (where applicable).
