Challenge The Status Quo Business Model: Business Model Innovation Workshop

INNOVATIVE BUSINESS MODELS WIN! Research shows that innovating your business model can create up to 25 times the competitive advantage, compared to product and process innovation. Technology has dramatically changed how companies operate and deliver services to customers, and has considerably shortened business model life cycles. Until recent years, most companies in Malaysia had a stable business track.

What exactly is business model innovation? What does it take to make your business model a BETTER one? This programme will introduce you to “Business Model Canvas,” “Strategic Innovation Canvas” etc., which are systematic and practical tools to think about strategy and business model innovation. You will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to look at business models differently and have the depth and resourcefulness to challenge status-quo business models. You will learn how to design revenue streams, define value proposition, and product/service strategy, to innovate and come up with winning business models.

GBS Forum 2017: Handling disruption with new sourcing approach

This year, the focus of the GBS Forum is on disruption and the state of the industry. The move towards more automation is something that cannot be ignored and is clearly turning the traditional sourcing space on its head. It is indeed a positive disrupter and has the potential to disrupt the traditional sourcing model that mainly focused on offshore and labour arbitrage.

Automation and other disruptive technology is also forcing many to concentrate on smaller deals partnering with niche service providers. This new strategy seem logical to services buyers as they wade through their daunting digital strategies amid a wave of new technologies and operating models, hence the tendencies to avoid big long term contracts.

The future of sourcing is here and its impact is impressive. Our event is going to focus on bringing these topics to the forefront of the discussions, looking at what others have done and are doing in the industry, understanding what tools are available to support making these decisions and then integrating them effectively. This is also a perfect opportunity for you to meet, connect and fraternise with other industry leaders and peers.

Date: 20 July 2017
Time: 8:30am-5:00pm (5:00pm-7:00pm networking cocktail)
Venue: G Tower Hotel, Kuala Lumpur
