Learning experience

The course is available to start studying now as flexible, blended learning (text book and e-learning). Comprising a series of 8 modules, it covers all of the key concepts and includes exam practice questions at the end of each module. Additionally, learners will receive 12 months access to the Knowledge Centre, a portal of regularly updated resources to provide additional background and insight in addition to the syllabus and to facilitate lifelong learning.

CIMA can send textbooks directly to employers to ensure safe delivery and will communicate directly via email with learners to explain how to access e-learning materials. The course should take around three to four months to complete and is assessed via a computerised exam which can be sat 'on-demand' at over 5,000 Pearson Vue test centres worldwide. The exam is professionally invigilated, maintaining the same level of rigour as CIMA’s other suites of professional qualifications.

On successfully passing the exam, learners will receive a globally recognised official certificate and be able to use the designation CGBS.

It took me three months to study the syllabus and pass the exam. I have thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and would encourage other companies to offer this development opportunity for their employees.
