Entry requirements
Top quality candidates, who are keen to get on with their careers. Academically you'll need:
- 300 UCAS points (BBB or equivalent) or a BTEC national diploma with distinction profile
- at least a C grade in both GCSE English and maths (or equivalent)
- a maths or science A level would be an advantage but not essential.
You also need unrestricted right to work in the United Kingdom (we are unable to sponsor work permits for this programme).
You’ll need to be confident and reliable, with the drive and resilience to handle the pressures that come from working and studying at the same time.
What degree do I get?
BA (Hons) in management and finance
Structure of the degree
Over the three years, you will work for your sponsoring company in an accounting or finance job role.
During this time, the company will release you to return to Nottingham Trent University to complete intensive study weeks (approximately five per year).
The syllabus has been closely aligned to the CIMA syllabus, allowing maximum exemptions. The degree is spread over three years with a variety of assessments including exams and case studies, but to become CIMA qualified, you will need to sit the three strategic level CIMA exams externally in your final year.
You will then complete T4 the test of professional competence. You should be able to complete the degree and the CIMA qualification in four years or less.
How do I study?
Study will be completed through study blocks at the university and through distance learning.
