Qualification levels

The levels of the CIMA professional qualification are: operational (E1, F1 and P1), management (E2, F2 and P2), strategic (E3, F3 and P3) and the test of professional competence in management accounting (T4 parts A and B).

Students must pass all six operational and management papers before attempting strategic level. All three strategic papers must be passed before a student can attempt the T4 part B case study examination.

Student emagazine

It has a lively mix of news and features and important notices about exams and study. It is essential reading for study and career support.

Online study

You can also study for the professional qualification with CIMAstudy.com, the CIMA endorsed online study system.

CIMAsphere

CIMAsphere, our online community, provides a resource for students to share information and find expertise and support among peers, as well as gain advice from CIMA members and alumni. See the 2010 qualification discussion boards.

CIMAsphere host online 'ask a tutor' events in April and October each year. This is a great opportunity to send a subject related question to an experienced tutor, and these events are particularly useful for those students who do not have formal tuition courses.

Transition from the 2005 syllabus

CIMA updated the syllabus in 2010. Our transition page explains the differences between the outgoing 2005 syllabus and the 2010 syllabus.
